He established several profitable programs within the company and was acknowledged regularly for his superior performance.

He was a member of the legislative committee, working with other landlord and tenant groups to draft new legislation regarding landlord/tenant law.
Mark has specialized in seasoned residential properties, largely due to the construction challenge they present. His portfolio has also included new residential properties and commercial/office property. He is experienced in negotiating and writing leases, tenant conflict resolution and the eviction process. Mark has worked his way from the ground up.
In April of 2000 Mark earned his General Contractor's license and opened StarCraft Enterprises, Inc., a construction, remodeling and property maintenance company. They perform maintenance on the properties managed by Markus & Associates, Inc., as well as those managed by other management companies and the general public. In July of 2000, he opened Markus & Associates, Inc., a Property Management and Real Estate Sales company, with his wife Vivian. With her background in marketing and sales, together they operated both businesses through the dot.com bubble burst and the following recession. Today they are successfully operating both businesses in the Beaverton/Portland area market.
